What We Believe

The fact that a young child can comprehend the simple message of salvation and become a child of God is the foundational principle of CEF®. Everything else that we do is based upon this fact. The good news of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation. We must present it clearly and accurately. You can read our Statement of Faith to know more about our Biblical principles.

Strategic Plan

For a better understanding of our goals and methods, you can read a summary of the Strategic plan for CEF® of Central Alabama.  We are a committee and a Region of CEF® of Alabama; which is affiliated with CEF® International. Included, as part of this summary, are our parent organization's purpose and values as well as those which are specific to our Central Alabama Chapter.

Our Staff

Naomi kemp, Local Coordinator

My story with CEF began in the spring of 2003 when I did the Christian Youth in Action program. I was hooked! Learning this effective way to share the gospel was one of the best experiences of my young life. I did CYIA all through high school and most of college, was Summer Coordinator in 2011, and was a volunteer as much as I could for CEF since then with events and Good News Clubs.

God called me to become the Local Coordinator in March 2019, and together with the other creative and amazing people in our group, we spread His love, wisdom, and the story of His amazing grace throughout Central Alabama. My responsibilities include overseeing our various ministries, CEF promotion, and chapter fundraising under the supervision of the local committee and the State Director. Please look around our website and contact us to learn how you can be a Godly change agent in your area!

Savannah Barber, Ministry Assistant

In 2005, I became a summer volunteer with CEF's Christian Youth in Action program in Central Alabama. While serving with CYIA, I had the privilege to lead a little boy name Darryll to Christ. I found out months later that that same boy led fourteen other children to Christ that summer. I knew then that God was calling me to missions with CEF. In 2012 I was hired by the Central Alabama chapter. My responsibilities include screening volunteers, training for our various ministries, and over seeing communications, such as newsletters, web presence, and social media.

Isaac Ritchie, Summer Missions Assistant

In 2014, a friend recommend I spend my summer volunteering my summer with CEF. Teaching Gods word to children was not something I expected to be doing during this time, but it turned out to be the best experience I had as a youth. I looked forward each year to go out and share the gospel across Alabama. After 6 years of volunteering, I am blessed to be the Summer Missions Assistant. My responsibilities include scheduling 5-day clubs, assisting with summer duties, and recruiting teens for the summer.
